Breaking news? - We aren't CNN. We are a political insider news aggragator and blog.

The folks that read our site are insiders and uber-informed voters. Those are the same folks who go to county party meetings and have probably been approached by these members of McCain's field staff.

Also, these firings are an indication of a larger problem.

We agree that the divide is sickening, but you have to remember the atmosphere in which you are commenting. Here its all politics.

It is sad when "breaking news" is in regards to staffers on the McCain campagin. While it is clear that McCain is behind on the fundraising it is only rational for his campagin to make changes to make the most of that money. I don't understand the huge deal of firing a field manager and a youth coordinator. McCain is smart and knows he doesn't have the money to run the campagin he had intended so he has adapated. Furthermore, if I am correct Haskins just graduated a year ago and Montgomery either just graduated or is still in school. Either way it isn't like they are major players in the McCain campagin. I agree with C.Ross, the firing of Brad Henry comes with the nature of a job, particularly in politics.

I consider myself a true conservative, and it sickens me this divide and cattiness between Republicans(by ALL sides). This divide in the party is going to result in a victory for the dems in 08.

I know that I said I was going into semi-retirement. And I am but this merits a post. In the upcoming days I will be doing a full analysis of SC today. We are on a new battlefield.

The quinn's v. tompkins v. shealy's. I am cautiously confident that Rod and company are in line to take the bid for TEAM THOMPSON.

Look for it in the next couple of days. This is now going to be a "real" bloodbath...between Giuliani, Romney and Thompson, McCain, what happened? Oh yeah, that thing with hiring Trey Walker and Richard Quinn again.

I attended the Lexington County Counvention and the McCain staffers just sat around in the back of the room and talked to each other the whole time while the Romney staffers went and mingled in the crowd.

Also, Henry McMaster only talked about himself during his McCain speech.

And they wondered why they had to fire everybody. This reminds me of when Holtz fired the whole staff after getting whipped by Clemson a few years back. It rarely leads to much success (see Holtz).

rumor has it,

I do not know what TTS has to do with the story, I am sure if Romney were laying off people the shot would write about it. The story really has nothing to do with people loosing there jobs it has to do with the McCain campaign coming apart. it is a simple rule of business; if you cant produce the results that you were hired for then you are let go.

why don't you TTS goons quit reveling in the firing of a young man. Report the story and move on to something more relevant.

McCain Campaign Shedding Staffers?...

I would say they’re rearranging the deck-chairs on the Titanic, but a more apt analogy would be they’re throwing deck chairs off the Titanic. Admittedly that doesn’t make any sense, but since when has the McCain campaign been about making sense...
