According to South Carolina Republican Party Chairman, and FOX News who is hosting the GOP debate; only those candidates who have met certain criteria will be allowed on stage. The result could be the symbolic end of a number of Presidential campaigns, in South Carolina at least.  With the debate taking place so early in the Primary season (May), many […]

The Lexington County GOP held their county convention today and also conducted a Presidential straw poll. Despite being one of the most solidly red counties in the country and a critical vote contributor in South Carolina, there were no candidates present. However there are a few notes worth mentioning. Let’s start with the results of […]

We are reluctant to put this up, because of its margin of error. Let’s face it, SurveyUSA is not the most reputable and they could barely find a sample size of people who watched the debate last night. However, we are going to throw it out there anyway.
First, the poll has a margin of error […]
O’burg takes the spotlight as Dems take the stage

Tonight’s debate at South Carolina State University pretty much lived up to what most political operatives, not working for a Democratic Campaign for President, thought it would. That is to say, there were no winners, no major gaffs, and for the most part, the status quo remains. Granted, it is so early that most citizens […]

4 Comments Published April 26th, 2007 in Uncategorized. We just read this article from the Greenville News and a couple things jumped out at us:
1. Arizona Sen. John McCain said in Greenville this morning that a definite pullout date for American troops in Iraq could force current college students to fight in an “international crisis.â€

It’s being reported that during his Columbia announcment stop, John McCain entered and exited to ‘Barbara Ann” by the Beach Boys.
McCain obviously is trying to lighten up the crack last week about bomb, bomb, bombing Iran.
SC’08 reports low turnout and energy at McCain’s Greenville announcement.
Here in Columbia, its hard to see anything through the confederate flags waving high.
Freshmen Democrat State House member Bakari Sellers is having a fundraiser across the street.  We’re sure he didn’t expect all the confederate flags outside his window.
Video and more updates later.
We sure are glad National Journal broke up with us because we would hate to be affiliated with them right now.
Pretty boy John Mercurio believes that South Carolina is no longer important in the presidential primaries. No seriously, that’s what he said. Click here to see.
And its the PAL-MET-TO State. Why is that so darn difficult?
Is it […]
Congressman Gresham Barrett delivered the following remarks on the House floor this morning regarding a clean Iraq War Supplemental.
John McCain ain’t the only one with a new website design. His best bud Senator Lindsey Graham has one too.
We dont know when it was launched, but it must have been pretty recently.
It’s a great looking site with awesome graphics. And it would be a perfect website 2 cycles ago, but its not 2 cycles […]
John McCain today announced that he’s running for President of the United States. He will be in town tomorrow to announce here in SC.
That’s right. John McCain is running for President. Our question….when did he ever stop running for President?
With his announcement comes a fresh website design that prominently displays his hoop-ride the Straight Talk Express. Check […]
We encourage you to check out www.edin08.com. EDIN08 is a new program launched by the Gates Foundation to inform voters of America’s education crisis and to encourage presidential candidates to start talking about it.
Here’s what they say about themselves:

And The […]
We thought this was a pretty funny, as The Colbert Report usually is. So as always, we felt like sharing.  It is worth noting that the bottom tier candidates are now taking swings at the front runners as they try to get traction.
