Those locks ain’t dyed

Stylist confirms: Mitt’s a never-say-dye guy

For the record, presidential hopeful Gov. Mitt Romney has never dyed his hair, his long-time hair stylist said yesterday.

“No, no, no, he does not color his hair,” said Leon de Magistris of Belmont, who has been snipping the White House hopeful’s dark coif for 30 years. “He’s just one of the fortunate ones.”

While on the campaign trail in Milwaukee yesterday, Romney, who turned 60 on March 12, told reporters he’s never had to touch up his hair, and he’s got gray on his sideburns to prove it!

“I don’t dye it. I don’t color it, and you can take a real close camera shot and see there’s a lot of gray mixed in with all that black,” he laughed.

According to an internal campaign document that surfaced in recent days, the former Massachusetts gov’s staff thinks Mitt’s mop may just be too perfect.

And looking like Dr. McDreamy on “Grey’s Anatomy” apparently does not play well in Peoria.

Romney is trailing in GOP presidential polls behind follicle-challenged former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, 63, and Arizona Sen. John McCain, 70, whose hair is white.

Despite the campaign’s complaints about the candidate’s hair, his local coiffeur thinks Romney’s look is just fine.

“Only the hairdresser knows for sure,” said the owner of Leon & Company. “But for a man who just turned 60, he’s very lucky he only has a little gray. That’s a good thing.”

  1. 1 Cheers for Leon, Jeers for Romney

Thank god I haven’t ever run into Romney when I’ve been in there getting a fabulous color and cut. I think I would puke on his shoes.
