McCain and McMaster, the McCheaters win in Florence
Tonight the Florence County Republican Party held their straw poll and Henry McMaster’s illegal vote gave McCain the needed bump to win…double….over his nearest competitor.
The Florence County rules state that only official Florence County GOP delegates may vote in the straw poll. A source close to the Florence GOP tells The Shot that McMaster received a ruling from the Attorney General’s office declaring the rules discriminatory, allowing him to vote.
With McMaster’s vote, McCain received 20 votes, double that of Mitt Romney’s 9. Without McMaster, McCain would have had only 19 votes….wait, that’s still double…crap!
The official results are:
McCain 20
Romney 9
F. Thompson 5
Giuliani 4
Huckabee 1
Alan Keyes 1
Newt 1
Yeah, we’re serious. Alan Keyes got a vote. Maybe that was McMaster.
McCheaters. Hahaha.
The Florence County straw poll was run more poorly than a student council election in a middle school. The ballot box was off in a corner and some of the delegates did not even know about it until the results were announced. The worst of it all is that Henry McMaster came up with a ruling to allow himself to vote. Whats next? When he decides that he is going to run for governor is he going to make a ruling on election day saying that since South Carolina is in the United States that anyone in the country can vote. Lets get serious: is John McCain in so much trouble that he has to rig a county straw poll?
uhm…we were just joking about the ruling dude.
Still dont know why our posts are showing up Anon, but that last post was from us.
